IDENTIFICATION AND BIO:
Charles Eugene Grant worked as a teacher and choreographer in the New York City public schools. He also performed with various companies, prominently the Eleo Pomare Dance Company, for which he served as associate director and occasional choreographer. Grant also danced with the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, Shirley Rushing Danz Company, Rod Rodgers Dance Company and Dianne McIntyre’s Sounds in Motion. In addition, he appeared in the Broadway shows Burnt Ash, Dance Marathon, Raisin, Pippin, Timbuktu!, and Your Arms Too Short to Box with God. Grant died of AIDS-related causes.
