IDENTIFICATION AND BIO:
Holgar Linden danced with the Joffrey, Pennsylvania, Chicago and Houston Ballets, and he served as assistant to the Houston Ballet Master. Aside from dancing, Linden was a guest teacher and choreographed both in the United States and abroad, creating seven ballets. He was the winner of the Italian Cultural Institute Award in 1968. In 1976, according to Dance Magazine, Linden founded and became the director of the Maywood Academy and Ballet in Chicago. Linden died of AIDS-related causes.
