Attended San Francisco Conservatory, San Francisco and Berklee School of Music, Boston
After attending the San Francisco Conservatory and the Berklee School of Music, Jeffrey Sage studied in Japan from 1983 to 1985 under a grant from the Tokai Bank.
He then returned to the Bay Area, where he performed in the rock musical American Jukebox and played his own pop and jazz compositions in clubs and restaurants.
Jeffrey Sage died of AIDS in Emeryville, California at the age of 28 on May 5, 1993.
The Jeff Sage Music Scholarship Fund was established at Salesian High School in Richmond, California.
