Images of dead birds and the parchment effect of the medium combine with the title to remind us of our physical frailty. Caris stitches together sheets of her own treatment records to fashion a typical medical robe, a three-dimensional object we assume was made to cover or hide her body, yet which instead reveals to us highly personal information about the artist, including her diagnoses, treatment and her work as an artist's model.
