Philip, 1994, is part of an ongoing series by Rhein, in which friends and artists who have died from AIDS are commemorated in the form of delicate wire drawings, each representing a fallen leaf and titled after their namesake. In this way, the artist remembers the lives of those he has known, and ensures their place in posterity.
